  • Message from Ms. Sue

    FEELC Families,

We are looking for donations of clean, empty Gatorade Bottles with Lids or clear other sturdy water bottles with lids.

Please bring in your donations and and leave them in the box in the hallway by the Garden/Plant Share Table.

We will be using them on our playgrounds to enhance the Mud Kitchens.

    Thanks so much,

    Sue

  • Halloween 2019

    Dear Families,

Halloween will soon be upon us, and we are planning a fun morning of tricks and treats here at First Environments.  All children are invited to wear a costume to school on Thursday October 31st.  (Please bring in a change of clothing for after the Halloween fun.)

Our toddlers will have Halloween festivities in their classrooms, and our middler and preschool children will be enjoying trick-or-treat stations outside, weather permitting.

*Please check with your child’s teachers to confirm specific plans, but the trick-or-treating for the middlers and preschoolers generally begins at 10:00.

FEELC will be providing all of the candy and snacks for the trick or treating. FEELC will be purchasing candy and snacks that are free of possible allergens.

**As parents, you are welcome to send in any non-food items to be passed out at the trick-or-treat stations.

Ideas include large stickers, fun size play dough, bubbles, pencils, tattoos, stampers, notepads, plastic or jelly stretch bracelets, Halloween novelties, etc. Please make sure any items are appropriate for the ages of the children who are present.  **If you are donating toddler or middler items, please make sure they are labeled safe for children under three years old.  If items specifically state “for ages 3+” we will only be able to use those for the preschool children.

You can drop off any non-food item donations at the front desk. Thank you in advance for any donations!

As always, parents are invited to come over and join us in the fun, so if you would like to walk with the trick-or-treaters, please feel free to do so!

    Questions? Email Heather Ray hray@firstenvironments.org.

We are all very excited to celebrate Halloween with our wonderful friends.  Thank you, and we look forward to a great time on Thursday October 31

PARENT HANDBOOK REMINDERS

  • 2019 HOLIDAY/BREAK CLOSINGS: Please note that this information is available on our website and can also be downloaded here.

  • FOOD ALLERGIES & BIRTHDAYS: Please remember that FEELC is a PEANUT-FREE center. Due to food allergies, FEELC does NOT allow families to bring in outside food to be shared with other children.

However, the exception to this policy is for children's birthdays. Cupcakes with the appropriate peanut-free label attached, popsicles, whole fresh fruit, and yogurt may be purchased and brought in for a birthday. If you bring whole fruit, we'll get it to the kitchen and washed and sliced for you. The wonderful thing about bringing whole fruit is that currently, every child in our school can eat it, so it's a great choice.

NOTE: All labels need to be checked by an Administrative staff member for the “peanut-free” label and labels cannot say the food was made in or processed on equipment/machinery that may contain tree nuts or peanuts. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask an Administrative staff member or Ken or Sue.

  • ACCESS TO TUITION RECEIPTS FOR TAX PREP
As a reminder, you are able to access your First Environments tuition receipts through our Procare system online portal. More information is available on the Procare Portal Instructions page; it provides directions on how to set up an account so that you can access your child's tuition receipts. You just have to make sure you set up your account with the email address where you usually receive your Friday updates.

SUPPORT FEELC

  • AMAZON CLASSROOM WISH LISTS: Check the full list of classroom wish lists here. A wonderful way to directly support your child's classroom is to find an item on their classroom wish lists.  Some classrooms are still working on creating one, but you will find that many have. Your order will be directly shipped to FEELC. Thank you for your support of our school!
** NOTE: PLEASE MAKE SURE TO NOTIFY TRUDI TUINSTRA (ttuinstra@firstenvironments.org) OF ANY PURCHASES SO THEY CAN BE DELIVERED TO THE RIGHT CLASSROOM **
