  • ONLY NON-AEROSOL SUNSCREENS & INSECT REPELLENTS @ FEELC

    Due to health and safety concerns for all of our children and staff (as well as the environment), it has been decided that only non-aerosol sunscreens and insect repellents may be brought to FEELC for use on your child(ren). Using only non-aerosol products will eliminate inhalation exposures to chemicals for anyone applying or receiving the product as well as those near the product while it's being applied. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, everyone's health and safety is one of our top priorities.   ***NOTE: Containers with a pump are acceptable.***

    In light of this new policy, we ask that you please take any aerosol products home with you and bring in any replacement items for your child(ren) as soon as possible. You will need to fill out new permission forms for the new products that you will be bringing in.  Thank you all for your cooperation, and we appreciate your understanding on this important matter.   • HERB & PLANT SHARING STATION
    Check out Ms. Sue’s Herb & Plant Sharing station in the hallway leading to the middler/preschool classrooms for some herbs or plants you can eat or grow at home! Thanks Ms. Sue for sharing your bounty with us!

  • NEW OPERATING HOURS BEGINNING 9/3/2019
    FEELC will begin our new operating hours (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM) on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.  Tuition costs will remain at the current rate. Feel free to contact Beth at blake@firstenvironments.org with any questions.

  • PARKING LOT REMINDER

    The weather is heating up! Here’s a friendly reminder that for reasons of health and safety, FEELC does not permit families to leave their cars running when dropping off or picking up their child. Thank you for your cooperation!

  • 30-DAY NOTICE FOR WITHDRAWAL REMINDER
    With transitions to kindergarten occurring, here’s a friendly reminder that First Environments does require at least a 30-day notice of your child's last day at FEELC. Use the following link to access the official Withdrawal Form (PDF).

PARENT HANDBOOK REMINDERS

  • 2019 HOLIDAY/BREAK CLOSINGS: Please note that this information is available on our website and can also be downloaded here.

  • FOOD ALLERGIES & BIRTHDAYS: Please remember that FEELC is a PEANUT-FREE center. Due to food allergies, FEELC does NOT allow families to bring in outside food to be shared with other children.

    However, the exception to this policy is for children's birthdays. Cupcakes with the appropriate peanut-free label attached, popsicles, whole fresh fruit, and yogurt may be purchased and brought in for a birthday. If you bring whole fruit, we'll get it to the kitchen and washed and sliced for you. The wonderful thing about bringing whole fruit is that currently, every child in our school can eat it, so it's a great choice.

    NOTE: All labels need to be checked by an Administrative staff member for the “peanut-free” label and labels cannot say the food was made in or processed on equipment/machinery that may contain tree nuts or peanuts. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask an Administrative staff member or Ken or Sue.

  • CHANGE IN PARENT HOURS REQUIREMENT: After much consideration and feedback from our parent community, it has been decided by our Parent Board that FEELC will no longer have required Parent Hours. That said, it is still our hope to continue with our community spirit and have parent volunteers help out in various areas of our school. It is our belief that a program that builds a strong volunteer community helps to create unity between home and school. We will continue to post jobs on our volunteer board in the main hallway, send out help needed notices via Room Parents and Friday Updates. We understand working families are very busy and we don't want to create any extra burden through required hours, we just hope that when there is time in your schedule you will choose to help support FEELC. Thanks for all you do! -Beth

  • ACCESS TO TUITION RECEIPTS FOR TAX PREP
    As a reminder, you are able to access your First Environments tuition receipts through our Procare system online portal. More information is available on the Procare Portal Instructions page; it provides directions on how to set up an account so that you can access your child's tuition receipts. You just have to make sure you set up your account with the email address where you usually receive your Friday updates.

  • AMAZON CLASSROOM WISH LISTS: Check the full list of classroom wish lists here. A wonderful way to directly support your child's classroom is to find an item on their classroom wish lists.  Some classrooms are still working on creating one, but you will find that many have. Your order will be directly shipped to FEELC. Thank you for your support of our school!
